Exchange Online Email - Mac OS X Mail


User needs to reconfigure Mac OS Mail after being migrated to Exchange Online.


User will need to create a new profile in Mail to log into Exchange Online.


Add an email account to Mac OS X Mail

  1. Open Mail
    • If you've never used Mail to set up an email account, the Welcome to Mail page opens. Go to step 2.
    • If you've used Mail to create email accounts, select Mail Add Account.


  1. Select Exchange and click Continue


  1. Enter your name, email address, and password for your Exchange account, and click Sign In.


  1. On the “Sign in to your Exchange account using Microsoft?” screen, click Configure Manually.


  1. Type your password and click Sign in.


  1. You will receive an error “Unable to verify account name or password”. Edit the “User Name” field to reflect and click Sign In.


  1. Choose the Mac apps you want to use with this account. Available choices are MailContactsCalendarReminders, and Notes. When finished, click Done
