Accessing Epic after Citrix.utmsa.com is retired

There will be three methods of connecting to Epic that were previously hosted by citrix.utmsa.com site. 

 

Method 1:

Remote Desktop App- Only accessible on the network

Make sure you are connected to the UTHSCSA network or use Global Protect(VPN) when remotely connecting. If you need instructions on connecting to the VPN, please use the following link. Global Protect Instructions

Open the "Remote Desktop" app from the desktop or from the app menu

 

Select the "Subscribe" button.

 

Select your UT account or use your UTHSCSA email address if prompted. 

 

Select the Citrix Workspace app. 

 

You can now open the appropriate Epic environment, for most, it will be the UT Epic PRD.

 

For MAC users and other user-owned workstations

Method 2:

Web Browser(Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) 

Enter the website address https://windows365.microsoft.com/ent#/apps on your preferred browser.

Select your UT account or enter your full UTHSCSA email address if prompted and enter password when prompted. 

Complete the Duo two-factor authentication. 

 

Click on the Apps tile.

 

Select the Citrix Workspace App.

 

You can now open the appropriate Epic environment, for most, it will be the UT Epic PRD

 

Method 3:

*Please make sure you are on the UTHSCSA internal network*

Using a web browser, navigate to https://epic-storefront.et0582.epichosted.com/Citrix/EpicWeb/

Enter your Username and Password. Use the username format: UTHSCSA\Username

Click the Gear at the upper top right.​​​​

 

Select ​​Account Settings

 

Select "Activate Citrix Workspace App"

 

Download and open the file to import settings into Citrix Workspace.

Click the Add Button when the file opens up the Citrix Workspace App.

 

Enter your Username and Password. Use the username format: UTHSCSA\Username

 

Select the appropriate app; for most, it will be the Epic PRD icon.
