Follow the instructions below to accurately identify the Media Access Control (MAC) Address of your computer, device, machine, tablet, phone, etc.
Windows 10 (using command prompt):
- Right click on the Start button and select Command Prompt from the menu.
- At the command prompt, type ipconfig/all and press Enter.
- Copy down the "Physical Address" (aka the MAC address) from the "Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi" section.
- Close the command prompt window.
Windows 10 (in Network Connection Settings):
- Search "Network connections" in the task bar and select "View network status and tasks" (Or navigate to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center)
- Click on your Wi-Fi network connection or click on Network connections and select Status (this step may vary depending on the version of Windows 10 installed on your computer)
- Click the Details button
- Copy down the "Physical Address" (aka the MAC address) from the Network Connection details window
Macintosh OS X 10.13 and later:
These instructions may also work for some earlier OS.
- From the Apple Menu at top left of the desktop, select System Preferences > Network.
- Choose Wi-Fi from the list of interfaces on the left and click the Advanced button.
- Click the tab for Hardware
- Your wireless card's MAC address is shown here in the format: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Apple iOS:
- Tap Settings.
- Select General.
- Select About.
- The MAC address is listed as Wi-Fi Address shown in the format: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Android OS:
- Tap Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select About Tablet (or About Phone).
- Select Status.
- The MAC address is listed as Wi-Fi Address shown in the format: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
