Does My Device Support WiFi 5 GHZ?

 

To verify if your Windows computer supports 5Ghz Wi-Fi:

1. Open a command prompt:

a. Enter command: netsh wlan show drivers. You will see output similar to this which will provide details of your wireless adapter.  

2. If you do not see 802.11a, 802.11ac, or 802.11ax your device will not support the 5Ghz and will need to be upgraded in order to connect to HSCwave.

MAC Computers:

Any Device that shows 802.11a, 802.11ac, or 802.11ax will support 5Ghz Wireless spectrum

Any Device that shows 802.11a, 802.11ac, or 802.11ax will support 5Ghz Wireless spectrum

 

Mobile Phone devices:

Most all newer mobile phones support the 5Ghz Wi-Fi Spectrum. All iPhones from 5 and above support the 5Ghz band. You can verify if your device supports 5Ghz by clicking on the following link, and then selecting the manufacture of your device:
