UT Health Learns: Learners - Search/Browse for a Course and Enrolling in a Course Offering

For Web Based Training (WBT) Courses:  

1. From the Learning Dashboard, type in the name of the course into the search box that states "Search learning enrollments." Enter the course name and click on the magnifying glass. A list of relevant courses will populate.   

2. If you are not sure of the name of the course or would like to browse the catalog, select Browse or Search icons at the bottom of the page. 

 

 

  • To view more items, scroll down to the bottom of the page. 

 

3. Click on the tile with the name of the course you want to enroll in. The tile will expand to show additional information about the course. Click Get Started 

4. To launch the course, click on the Launch button.  

 

For Instructor-Led Training (ILT):  

1. From the Learning Dashboard, type in the name of the course into the search box that states "Search learning enrollments" and click on the magnifying glass. A list of relevant courses will populate.   

 

2. If cannot find the course in your Current Learning, you can search for the course using the Search tool.  

 

Once you find the course, follow these steps:  

1. Select Enroll in Course  

2. Select Find Offering  

3. Select the Offering you want to enroll in and click Enroll.

4. Click on the Download Invite button.  

 

5. Once the calendar file has downloaded to your computer, open the file, and then Accept the classroom meeting to your Outlook work calendar. This classroom meeting will contain details about where the class will meet, whether virtually or in-person. If details have not been provided, your instructor will connect with you closer to the class. If you forget to download, open, and accept the calendar meeting, you can return to the course in UT Health Learns to download it at any time. 

6. Once you have successfully completed all requirement for the ILT or BLT course, your instructor will provide you credit for the course. Please provide the instructor up to a week to enter your completion (attendance and/or scores). Additionally, you will generally have a week to complete the course evaluation.  

7. When you are done, you can select your Profile Photo in the upper right and Sign Out. 

 

Instructions for Blended Training (BLT) Courses:  

  • Select the Enroll button for the Class Offering you would like to attend. 

  • Depending on the order of your Blended Training activities, you may be required to: 

    • Complete WBT activities prior to the ILT classroom activities, or 

    • Complete ILT classroom activities prior to the WBT activities. 

  • It is recommended that you complete each learning activity in the order it is presented, and based on the order presented, your steps will include a combination of WBT and ILT activities.
