The Treatment and Care part of a provider profile is based off of the Categories field in Yext.
The Categories field is imported once when a new provider comes in from the monthly spreadsheet from UTHP credentialing.

The field is based off of Yext’s taxonomy. It is manually maintained. We match it up based on the provider’s Primary Specialty (from the UTHP spreadsheet – screenshot below) to the best of our ability. There is not a one to one match.

When Wordpress imports changes from Yext, the Categories field is tranformed via the Specialties taxonomy into Conditions (which then display on the provider profiles as Treatment and Care.)
The Categories from Yext are part of the Specialties taxonomy in Wordpress.

There is a field for Conditions on the Specialties taxonomy terms.

This list of Conditions is what gets imported into a provider’s profile (and then displays as Treatment and Care.) See the Conditions field on a provider’s edit form in bottom right in the below screenshot.

The Conditions field displays as Treatment and Care on the provider profile. (See screenshot below.)

Updating Treatment and Care for an Individual Provider
A provider's list of Treatment and Care can be updated manually on providers.uthscsa.edu. Once the field is updated manually, the connection with the Yext import is broken, and the changes will not be overwritten.

Update Treatment and Care for New Providers with a Particular Specialty
To ensure new providers with a particular specialty have Treatment and Care accurately associated with them, you can update the Specialties taxonomy terms on providers.uthscsa.edu.
