You will need either to be located on campus or connected to VPN.
Visit the “login” page on your website: https://campaigns.uthscsa.edu/strongstar/login
All sites under UT Health San Antonio will use your UT Health San Antonio username and password (LDAP Authentication). If your password is updated through IMS, then you will need to use your new password on all WordPress sites as well.
Log in issues
To prevent hackers from guessing your password and using it to deface public websites (Brute Force Attacks), we have implemented a limit of 3 failed login attempts before having your IP address blocked. This means if you type in your username and password wrong 3 times in a row, you will see the following 403 Forbidden screen. Since implementing this feature in 2020, our security plugin has blocked over 50,000 IP Addresses that were trying to gain access (brute force) to our websites in WordPress.
If you have been blocked out of a WordPress website, please submit a service request in order to regain access. Also, please include the IPV4 address that is being blocked.

Editing Webpages
Use the Edit Page link to edit the page banner and to edit News/Posts, Research Projects and Publications.
Use the WPBakery Page Builder link to edit the content beneath the banner on regular webpages (pages that are not news/posts, projects or publications.) See instructions here.

Add News
From the top toolbar select +New > Posts
Editing the news date
The publishing options are on the right side when you edit a news post. Click on Edit under Published on to change the date of the news item.
If you would like the news story to not appear within the Strong Star website, but instead immediately link out to an external news source, use the External Permalinks Redux field.
Add Featured Videos to News/Posts
Enter the YouTube share link in the Featured YouTube Video field to add a large video in the left column.
You may also add video in the right column of a news/post in the Sidebar additional content field. Click on Add Media button, click on Insert from url, enter the YouTube share link, and click on Insert into Post button.

Set Featured News Story
There must be at least 2 featured stories for this section to display on the news directory.
To add items to this section on the News Directory, edit the individual post.
Scroll down to Custom post fields, and place a check next to Featured Story. And click on the Update button.

Add Publications
From the top toolbar select +New > Publication
Add custom link box in sidebar to news/posts or publications
Start typing a word describing the desired icon

From the top toolbar select +New > Project
Add new project category (same method applies to project sites)
These can be added while creating/editing a project by clicking on Add New Project Category.
Edit project categories
From the admin dashboard left toolbar select Project Categories under Projects
Add Investigators for Projects
From the top toolbar select +New > Investigator

Creating a child page
A new page with the breadcrumb nested under the parent page
Edit the Page and select the Parent page under Page Attributes.
Select Basic Page (Breadcrumbs Enabled) for the Template.

Customizing page url/slug
By default a child page will contain its parents slug in the url.
Example: https://campaigns.uthscsa.edu/strongstar/treatment/headache/
To remove this or customize a page url, click on Permalink Manager button while Editing a Page. Enter the desired url in the Custom permalink field.
