SecureDoc Manually Remove Disk Encryption by Win Magic

Part 1: Uninstall SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic From Start Menu

When you install SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic onto your PC, it will be added to the program list located in Windows Control Panel. The conventional way to get rid of any program running on Windows OS is to head to the Start menu. But what upset users the most is the remnants left after uninstalling SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic by this way. Well, a complete uninstall is necessary to keep your computer clean and organized. If you have no clue how to SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic without trace left, please follow the removal instructions below.

1. Deactivate SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic Via Task Manager

  • Right click SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic icon in system tray and select exit option in the list.
  • Right click the taskbar on the bottom and then click Task Manager.
  • Select SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic associated processes if they still run on the background.
  • Click End task button to terminate SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic processes one by one.

2. Activate SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic Default Uninstaller

Tip 1 : SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic may fail to complete the uninstallation when some of its executable files are missing or corrupted. If you mistakenly deleted something necessary before uninstallation, or the default uninstalled has been damaged, SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic may not appear in the installed program list, and error messages may show up to interrupt or end normal uninstall. In that case you need to run the SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic installation package to cover missing/corrupted files, and then SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic from Control Panel again. Some installers may give you an option to uninstall older or problematic version.

Tip 2 : If SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic has been installed properly but it still fails to respond when you click Uninstall button, this program may prevent itself from being uninstalled. For those stubborn/hidden/malicious software, rebooting your computer in Safe Mode is a good way to remove them effectively. To enter into Safe Mode, do the following:

  • Press Windows + R together to open the Run dialog box.
  • Input "msconfig" in the Open: field and click OK.
  • Click the Boot tab in System Configuration window.
  • Tick the checkbox "Safe boot" and click OK.
  • Click Restart in the pop-up dialog to boot into Safe Mode.
  • SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic using the Control Panel again.
  • Uncheck the Safe boot option to exit Safe Mode.

Alternatively, you can activate SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic built-in uninstaller by accessing to its instillation folder (usually located in C:/Program Files) and running the file named Uninstall.exe or Unins000.exe. To help locate the installation folder, you can do these: right click SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic shortcut on the desktop, choose Properties option in the list, click Open File Location within the new window, and then navigate to SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic installation folder.

Part 2: Delete SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic Leftovers Manually

Since you have uninstalled SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic from Control Panel, you may think SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic removal has been done. Actually it is not yet. Once installed, SecureDoc Disk Encryption by WinMagic may add hidden plugins, create cache folders, change registry entries and otherwise modify your system settings, while Windows default uninstaller may not do good in fully removing the preference settings, temporary files, cache folders, and especially registry entries. Those residual files can be very large to occupy your disk space, and they will degrade your PC performance if you don't try to clean them up. To avoid overweight registry and disordered system , you should continue with next two steps:

1. Delete Leftovers in Disk

  • Head to Start>Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization>Folder Options, and then select the View tab.
