How to sync a user in DUO Console

Body

1. Locate user in AD and confirm they are a member of one of the groups below

                Faculty | Staff | Students | Residents  | DUO_VPN_USERS

If they are not in one of the group, the user's department must submit one of the requests below based on the user's UTHSCSA affiliation:

Request for Faculty, Staff, Students or Residents

Request for POI, Guest, Vendor, etc..

 

2. Log into the DUO console with your username + password

Please note DUO does not use LDAP, so the password may be different from your network password

 

3. Search for user in the Search bar

If the user shows up in the search results:

  • Select the user, then select "Sync this user"

 

If the user is not in the search results:

  • Select Users > External Directories > WIN.UTHSCSA.EDU
  • Under "Sync individual users" enter the username, then select "Sync Users"
