Global Protect(VPN) Guide

Prerequisites: 

1. Install and Enroll the DUO Mobile app on your phone
2. Install Global Protect (Installation Guide)
3. If you are new to UTHSCSA you must first change your temporary password at pwr.uthscsa.edu

Connecting to Global Protect: 

1. Click on the Global Protect Icon.
   
   Windows: On the Task Bar click the up arrow to show the system tray and click the Global Protect Icon.
   
   
   Mac OS: On the Menu Bar click the Global Protect Icon.
   
    
2. Enter to Portal shown below, then click connect.
   Portal address: onpremgp.uthscsa.edu
   
    
3. Sign in using your UTHSCSA credentials (do not include @uthscsa.edu).
   
    
4. On the DUO prompt enter the 6 digit code from your DUO Mobile app and click verify.
   ---OR---
   Select one of the options listed by entering the number next to it and click verify.
   
   
    
5. You should now be connected to Global Protect.
